Job Summary
VP Strategy and Operations role within JPMorgan Chase’s Global Banking Platform, focusing on coordinating cross-functional strategic initiatives, leading GBP’s strategic roadmap, governing risk and operating-model readiness, and delivering executive-level reporting and content. The role requires expertise in core banking/domain knowledge, strong analytical and communication skills, and leadership to drive cross-functional projects across tech, product, finance, and legal teams. Key responsibilities include aligning platform vision with OKRs, overseeing governance and decision-tracking, driving onboarding and operating-model readiness, and advising on risk and controls. Preferred qualifications include an MBA or advanced degree and credentials in operating-model design and Agile governance, with experience in cloud economics and FinOps on AWS. The position is based in Columbus, OH, US, and is not listed as visa-sponsored.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in strategy/management consulting, technology consulting, corporate strategy, or similar roles including at least 1+ years of experience leading teams
- Domain expertise in core banking, payments, deposits, or ledger platforms; exposure to next gen/core modernization
- Ability to structure and scope complex problems and apply analytical tools
- Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills; ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels
- High level of personal initiative and entrepreneurial leadership
- Critical thinking; ability to develop subject matter expertise quickly
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently with senior executives
- End-to-end thinking; navigate ambiguity and bring sustainable structure to programs
- Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
- MBA or advanced degree in business, finance, engineering, or related field
- Operating model and process design credentials (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, ITIL)
- Portfolio governance and execution at scale: OKR frameworks, benefits tracking, and Agile at scale (SAFe); tools like Jira/Confluence
- Cloud economics/FinOps experience on AWS
