Business Operations Manager - Legal and People Operations

Job Summary
Drive core business operations across customers, Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Support, and Hardware Operations, ensuring strong handovers, clear ownership, and efficient processes. Optimize workflows related to customer setup, invoicing, hardware delivery, and vendor management while acting as an operational partner to the CFO to assess profitability and scalability. Manage day-to-day Legal and People Operations, including contract review, compliance tasks, employment contracts, onboarding, payroll coordination, and EOR processes across Denmark, the UK, and Germany. Report to the CFO in Copenhagen's lean, pragmatic team, leveraging strong commercial judgment to create structure and drive continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- BA or MA level education
- 3–6 years of relevant experience from business operations, commercial operations, consulting, a scale-up environment, Chief of Staff-type role, legal operations, people operations, or another broad cross-functional role
- Strong ability to understand business processes across customers, Sales, CS, Finance, Support, and operations, and to identify where ownership, structure, handovers, or commercial discipline need to be improved
- Solid commercial judgment and general business understanding, including the ability to assess what creates value for the business and what creates unnecessary complexity, risk, or poor economics
- Experience designing, documenting, implementing, and running practical processes that work in daily operations, preferably in a SaaS, B2B, scale-up, or PE-backed environment
- Strong communication skills in English and Danish
- High discretion with confidential information
- Comfort with ambiguity
- Strong AI fluency for drafting, research, analysis, and structured thinking
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with HR/payroll platforms such as Remote, EOR setups, GDPR, contract review, vendor management, multi-country operations, SaaS, automotive, hardware delivery, or PE-backed reporting environments
