Job Summary
Own finance operations, including invoicing, accounts payable, expense management, and monthly close support. Manage contract administration for customer and vendor agreements, tracking renewals and reviewing risk terms. Run customer and supplier onboarding, covering contracts, procurement, security questionnaires, and systems access. Own people operations, including equipment setup, payroll, and coordinating immigration matters with outside counsel. Run the office and guest experience, hosting visitors and managing travel and leave coordination. Support the leadership team's operating cadence by preparing materials and tracking decisions. Evaluate and own operational tooling, replacing manual processes with systems and embracing AI-native workflows. This in-office role in San Francisco's Financial District requires five days a week.
Required Qualifications
- Previous 4+ years of experience in business operations, finance operations, or a chief-of-staff-adjacent role in a high-growth environment, ideally at a startup
- Demonstrated excellence, both academically and professionally, with a track record references can speak to directly
- Extreme organization and follow-through - things handed to you do not come back undone
- Sound judgment and discretion with sensitive information, including compensation, legal, and financial details
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust quickly with senior stakeholders
- Proactive and solutions-oriented, comfortable picking up an ambiguous problem, scoping it, and running it to done without waiting for direction
- Low ego and willing to do whatever it takes to keep the business running smoothly
- Genuine excitement about AI and eagerness to work with AI-native tooling
- Experience at a fast-scaling startup, familiarity with accounting/payroll/HRIS tooling, and experience reviewing commercial documents
