Job Summary
Maintain thorough understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll functions per company policies and state/federal regulations. Perform billing duties for private pay, Medicaid, Medicare, commercial, co-insurance, hospice, VA, and private insurance. Participate in month-end close processes including reconciling census, reviewing ancillary billing, posting revenue, and balancing cash. Process payroll and benefits in accordance with facility schedules and applicable laws. Ensure all checks, records, and data remain confidential and secure. Requires 1-2 years of relevant experience, high school diploma or equivalent, and knowledge of general accounting principles.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years' accounts receivable, accounts payable and/or payroll experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and mathematical concepts
- Ability to understand and implement healthcare reimbursement and billing principles
- Ability to use a 10-key calculator, preferably by touch
- Ability to prepare financial and other records in a systematic, neat, and legible manner
- Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and discretion

Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in healthcare
- AA degree from accredited college in business, accounting or related field
