Job Summary
Provide office functions for a hospice organization, including handling correspondence and word processing; manage incoming calls; file clinical notes; assist the Business Office Manager with maintaining minutes, processing doctor’s orders and related forms for Medicare/Medicaid compliance, and logging submissions (DARs). Support accurate patient billing data entry and processing of Medicare, Medicaid, private payer, and patient claims; assist with monthly billing and accounts receivable reports; maintain confidentiality of patient and organization information; ensure manuals are up to date; manage inventory of medical supplies; and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Must have at least one (1) year of experience in health care data entry
- Preferred one (1) year of pervious health care related billing experience
