Job Summary
Business Office Manager overseeing the daily operations of the facility's business office in a skilled nursing/rehabilitation setting, including accounts receivable, billing, collections, cash management, resident trust accounts, Medicaid/Medicare processing, admissions financial reviews, and customer service. Partners with residents, families, payers, and facility leadership to ensure financial accuracy and regulatory compliance; prepares and analyzes financial reports and aging summaries for leadership; supports admissions and interdisciplinary teams on financial eligibility and payer sources; ensures compliance with federal/state regulations and maintains high-quality service for residents and families.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Business Office Manager in a healthcare setting (skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or related healthcare environment)
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, private pay billing, and accounts receivable management
- Experience with collections, financial counseling, and revenue cycle processes
- Proficiency with healthcare billing systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
