Job Summary
Oversee accounts receivable, billing operations, and resident financial services in a skilled nursing/long-term care setting. Responsibilities include managing Medicaid, Medicare, and private-pay billing; ensuring Public Aid applications are completed promptly; enrolling residents in direct deposit through RFMS; conducting weekly collections; completing Medicaid Redetermination forms with required documentation; reconciling trust accounts and paying resident insurance premiums; verifying insurance coverage and eligibility; attending Medicare Meetings and maintaining knowledge of payer sources; acting as liaison between the Corporate Office and families for billing questions; completing daily census and deposits and posting credit card payments. Requirements include 2+ years in a healthcare business office or billing role, proficiency with PCC/RFMS/EHR platforms, familiarity with Public Aid/Medicaid processes, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a Business Office Manager or healthcare billing role, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and private pay billing processes
- Experience with PCC, RFMS, or similar healthcare billing and EHR platforms preferred
- Familiarity with Public Aid applications, Medicaid Pending processes, and DHS procedures
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and facility leadership
