Job Summary
Accurately record cash receipts, maintain billing and financial data for resident files, and balance trust accounts monthly. Coordinate month-end closing procedures, reconcile room and board details with census figures, and manage payor source records. Collaborate with the nursing home administrator on collection efforts, explain bills to residents, and ensure accounts receivables are recorded correctly. Uphold strict confidentiality while communicating effectively with residents, families, and the care coordination team to meet billing and reporting deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or G.E.D.
- one to two years of experience in accounts receivable or bookkeeping within the long-term care or healthcare industry
- Proficiency in using calculators and computer software
- Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with residents, families, and external agencies
