Job Summary
Record cash receipts, maintain billing and financial data for resident files, and balance resident trust accounts monthly. Coordinate month-end closing procedures, reconcile room and board details with census figures, and ensure accurate accounts receivable recording. Collaborate with the nursing home administrator on collection efforts, manage payor source records, and explain bills to residents as needed. Uphold strict confidentiality and communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care coordination team while meeting billing and reporting deadlines with precision.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or G.E.D.
- one to two years of experience in accounts receivable or bookkeeping within the long-term care or healthcare industry
- Proficiency in using calculators and computer software
- Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with residents, families, and external agencies
