Job Summary

Coordinate and manage the office function, including accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, payroll, and resident and employee files while assisting the Executive Director. Oversee general accounting, billing, expense management, and human resources operations such as recruitment, training, and compliance with state and federal employment laws. Manage multiple priorities, build strong relationships with residents, family members, and employees, and represent the community professionally to uphold organizational values. Maintain proficiency in accounting software, resident management systems, and MS Office applications.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • minimum of two to three years business office management, finance or accounting
  • Working knowledge of general accounting, billing and collections and expense management practices
  • Working knowledge of human resources including recruitment, training, payroll, employee relations, state and federal employment laws and workers compensation
  • Working knowledge of state regulations and care compliance
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications like accounting and resident management systems
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and MS Office
  • Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
  • Must have strong mathematical skills, organizational skills, and be detail oriented
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual
  • Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others
  • Must meet all health requirements and pass background checks
  • Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions), with or without reasonable accommodation
