Job Summary
Manage the day-to-day accounting function of the facility, including billing and collecting all patient accounts, balancing monthly closings, and maintaining accurate census data and financial records. Communicate potential accounts receivable issues with the Administrator, discuss billing situations with residents or responsible parties, and stay current with intermediary procedural changes. Supervise the Assistant Business Office Bookkeeper regarding training, hiring, and performance evaluations while securing cash and valuables per policy. Maintain accurate and timely records for all accounts, journals, deposits, and ledgers. This role requires an associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience in health care billing, with a minimum of two years in bookkeeping and skilled nursing facility experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must have prior experience working in skilled nursing facilities
- Must possess an associate's degree in Accounting and/or an equivalent of two (2) years training and experience in health care accounting, billing & collections
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting practice
- Must be available for Full-Time Staff
