Job Summary
Business Office Manager at Charlotte Health & Rehabilitation Center leads billing, resident trust accounts, month-end closing, and corporate reporting. Responsible for collections (including warrants in debts), accurate reimbursement documentation, payer source records, and resident bill communications. Requires technical knowledge of inpatient skilled nursing, Medicare/Medicaid billing, and long-term care billing; 1-2 years AR/bookkeeping experience in healthcare; staff management experience; proficiency with Microsoft Office and billing software. Education: a two-year college-level accounting degree required, four-year degree preferred. Strong leadership, organization, attention to detail, and customer-service skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year degree of college level accounting courses; four-year degree preferred
- Technical knowledge of Inpatient Skilled Nursing, Managed Care and long-term care billing for Medicare and Medicaid
- One to two years’ experience in accounts receivable or bookkeeping in healthcare/long-term care
- Experience managing staff (bookkeepers and receptionists)
- Knowledge of basic office equipment & Microsoft Office; billing software preferred
- Good interpersonal skills for work with residents, families, and outside agencies
