Job Summary
Business Office Assistant supports day-to-day accounting in a skilled nursing facility, handling accounts receivable, processing insurance billing, verifying insurance benefits and eligibility, posting deposits, reconciling petty cash, maintaining documentation, and assisting with follow-up on reimbursements. Requires one year of administrative experience, familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and the ability to interact with insurers and HMOs. Bi-lingual ability is helpful but not required; vaccination is required. The role involves ensuring accuracy in billing, maintaining resident trust accounting, and participating in the facility’s accounts receivable/payables processes. Must present a professional appearance and demeanor and comply with attendance policies.
Required Qualifications
- One year experience in an administrative position
- Experience in accounts receivable with knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and private insurance helpful but not required
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including booster
