Have experience working in a Nursing Facility and understand the insurance needs of residents? We are currently hiring a Business Office Assistant! Job Summary: Responsible to direct all business office activities within the Nursing facility closely working with human resources and admissions. Process admission packets for clients who have active Medicaid, secure PAS (preliminary alcohol screening) for all admissions, and follow-up on pending applications at least weekly Complete and submit insurance authorizations and re-authorizations to client MCO’s (managed care organizations) Complete and submit Medicaid applications, as well as re-determination paperwork to Medicaid and update the corporate office of changes to the Medicaid pending list Complete all necessary correspondence with Social Security regarding benefits, representative payee information, if applicable, contracts and authorizations Maintain financial records for all clients (financial folders) Bill all private pay clients monthly Make payment plans with clients who have outstanding balances Enter information into HDSI system regarding incoming payments, client admission and discharge dates, trust fund transactions, and employee payroll information Sort and distribute mail Order and maintain storage of office supplies Assists in maintaining contract binder, environmental services binder, and filing incident and abuse reports Assists in completion of admission paperwork Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent Associate’s degree preferred Background check must be free of disqualifying offenses, as defined by the Illinois Department of Public Health Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and/or benefit paperwork and insurance authorizations preferred Experience working with individuals living with mental illness MADO Healthcare is an Equal Opportunity Employer
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Associate’s degree preferred
- Background check free of disqualifying offenses as defined by the Illinois Department of Public Health
- Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and/or benefit paperwork and insurance authorizations preferred
- Experience working with individuals living with mental illness
