Job Summary
Co-lead Nebraska’s Career Field Specialist role for Business, Marketing, & Management and serve as DECA State Advisor, providing statewide programmatic leadership, consultative services, and technical assistance to schools, ESUs, teacher prep institutions, and other educational entities; coordinate resources, events, and conferences; develop and facilitate professional learning; align standards to curriculum; provide guidance on instructional resources; conduct desk audits and site visits for grants; establish partnerships with state agencies, nonprofits, and businesses; travel ~20% with 80% in-office. Requires Master’s degree (or equivalent), teaching or admin experience, valid Nebraska certificate, and willingness to travel; sponsor not provided for non-immigrant visas.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in the field of education or related subject area
- two years of successful preK-12 teaching or school administration experience OR equivalent teaching or school administration experience in another state or country
- eligible for/possess Nebraska Teaching or Administrative Certificate per §79-807 OR substitution with Bachelor’s degree in education or MAT per 92 NAC 21 and four years of teaching/admin experience

- Experience as a Business, Marketing, and Management instructor and DECA advising
- Experience with state and federal grants
- Experience aligning standards to local curriculum
- Driving license and willingness to travel
