Job Summary
Manage finances and business office support for over 1,000 student organizations with annual expenditures exceeding $12M. Serve as the resource and liaison to the Department, College, and central offices while interpreting University, Federal, State, and agency policies. Collaborate with central business services to meet strategic goals and prepare financial reports supporting long-range planning and budget recommendations. Mentor peers within the Business Office and foster participative supervisory styles utilizing accountability and teamwork. Resolve daily issues using analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP. This role supports long-range planning forecasts and strategic financial management of college resources within the University's student organization ecosystem.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or related field of study
- Four years of business administration, financial management, or related experience
- Ability to analyze, interpret, implement, and communicate policies and procedures
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
- Excellent planning, problem-solving, analytical, organizational, project management, financial analysis, supervisory, and customer service skills
- Ability to influence and build work relationships among a diverse workforce at all levels
- Must possess a learning orientation to change technology impacting business processes, e.g. SAP, etc
- Proficient in following software: Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Demonstrate originality, creativity, and ability to resolve issues on a daily basis
- A demonstrated knowledge of sponsor and University regulations and basic proficiency in all technical and professional skills related to business office and contract grant management
- Knowledge of SAP, Cognos and other University software tools
