Job Summary
The Parish Business Manager will assist the Pastor with stewardship of financial and human resources, handling budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls. Responsibilities include preparing annual reports, managing payroll and vendor relationships, supporting school principal in budgeting, implementing HR policies, and overseeing operational records. Candidates must possess a CPA, at least two years of accounting or finance experience, and strong knowledge of accounting principles. A successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in financial software and possess strong communication and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- CPA or equivalent financial professional experience
- Minimum two years in an Accounting or Finance role within a Parish or business entity
- Must be a practicing Catholic who can demonstrate understanding, respect and support of the Catholic Church teaching, mission and values
- Demonstrated thorough knowledge of accounting principles
- Experience in Human Resources practices, including people leadership, interviewing and selection, policy application, and employment practices laws
- Willingness to handle highly confidential information
- Ability to travel to other Archdiocesan locations
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Familiarity with Google applications (GoogleDocs and Google Sheets)
