Job Summary
Oversee the financial and administrative operations of a faith-based Pre-K through 12th grade school. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining the annual budget, preparing financial reports for administrators and stakeholders, overseeing personnel records and staffing contracts, directing procurement and vendor negotiations, government and auditor reporting, and ensuring compliance with education and nonprofit finance laws. Provide data-driven financial insights to inform strategic decisions, collaborate cross-functionally with administrators, faculty, and staff, and clearly communicate budget information to stakeholders and the school board; represent the school in financial matters. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field, 6-10+ years of finance/administrative operations experience (preferably in education/nonprofit), and alignment with the Christian mission.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree is a plus
- 6-10+ years of finance and administrative operations experience, ideally in an education, nonprofit, or similar setting
- Deep knowledge of education and nonprofit finance laws, regulations, and best practices
- Strong financial analysis and budget management skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Prior exposure to human resources and payroll processes
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (QuickBooks experience a plus)
- Alignment with the school’s Christian mission and values; personal faith commitment is a must
- Certified School Business Official (CSBO) certification preferred
