Job Summary
Manage district business operations by preparing budgets, administering funds, and ensuring accounting systems comply with legal regulations. Oversee monthly bank reconciliations, analyze cash flow for investments, and conduct periodic audits with internal and external auditors. Implement federal and state policies, compile required reports, and maintain accurate inventory records for fixed and movable assets. Direct personnel management by preparing job descriptions, developing training plans, and supervising staff evaluations. Assist in projecting student enrollments, staffing needs, and capital equipment requirements to support district goals. Requires a Bachelor's degree in business or educational administration, five years of school business management experience, and knowledge of budgeting and payroll processing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or educational administration or an equivalent TASBO Certification
- 5 years experience in school business management or public organization
- Knowledge of budgeting, accounting systems, and payroll processing
- Working knowledge of financial applications and accounting
- Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets and perform data analysis
- Ability to implement policy and procedures
- Ability to interpret data
- Ability to manage budget and personnel
- Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
