Job Summary
Technology Business Manager in the Commercial & Investment Bank Finance & Business Management (F&BM) team partners with Technology, Finance, Strategy, and Front Office leaders to translate financials into insights, steward budgets and demand, and provide visibility into performance and risk. Responsibilities include leading monthly business reviews; tracking project roll-offs, reinvestment, unfunded demand, infrastructure and vendor costs; supporting workforce and location strategy; promoting standard financial reporting with Technology Finance; coordinating with stakeholders to deliver technology delivery roadmaps; preparing quarterly governance updates for senior leadership; documenting and managing financial risks and opportunities; contributing to Business Controls forums focused on technology risk and production stability; analyzing capabilities to identify gaps and streamline tools and processes; prioritizing needs and investments using relationship insights, competitive positioning, and industry research. Required qualifications emphasize 1+ year in business management/strategy in financial services or tech, strong analytics, ability to synthesize information into executive narratives, independent initiative, stakeholder management, attention to detail, integrity, and proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Preferred qualifications include experience in large financial institutions, familiarity with technology financials, workforce planning, governance materials, knowledge of technology risk and controls, process improvement, and data-visualization tools.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in business management and/or strategy in financial services or a technology organization
- Strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into clear executive-level narratives and storytelling
- Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives independently with appropriate communication and escalation
- Stakeholder management skills and a team-oriented approach in fast-paced environments
- High attention to detail, personal integrity, and professional maturity
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
