Job Summary
Business Management Consultant provides direct one-on-one management and business skills consulting to startups and small businesses across a 7-state service area, with emphasis near the Texarkana area. Responsibilities include developing training content, facilitating webinars/workshops, and building relationships with local community leaders to support economic development and small business growth. Ideal candidate will work from home but reside within commutable distance to Texarkana. Requires experience or education in business management/finance/administration, strong facilitation and communication skills, ability to develop workshops, build partnerships, and work independently. Travel within the service area and maintaining client documentation and collaboration with the team are expected.EOE
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in business, management, finance, administration, or a related field and at least 1 year experience in business ownership, startups, business development, operations, finance, consulting, or leadership roles supporting business growth or turnaround efforts
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, finance, administration, or a related field and at least 5 years' experience in business ownership, startups, business development, operations, finance, consulting, or leadership roles supporting business growth or turnaround efforts
- Excellent facilitation, writing, communication, computer, and analysis skills
- Ability to develop workshops related to small business management consulting
- Ability to reach out and build new and existing partnerships in the target communities
- Ability to work one-on-one with entrepreneurs with the goal of building their business skills and management capacity as business owners
- Ability to work independently, with accountability for results
- Ability to assist in training other management consultants
- Must maintain a valid driver's license, have reliable transportation, an acceptable driving record, and at least the state minimum personal liability auto insurance coverage
- Must be authorized to work in the USA
