Job Summary
Oversee the operations and personnel of one production line to maximize productivity and operating efficiencies. Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and tooling to assemble products effectively while maintaining high quality and traceability. Manage staffing plans, develop direct reports, and train staff on critical assembly operations and line procedures. Ensure full compliance with the Quality System, safety regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices. Monitor daily work metrics, schedule manufacturing lines for 100% product availability, and report performance to the area budget. This role supports Abbott Vascular Devices in delivering innovative, minimally invasive products for vascular disease treatment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree (± 16 years)
- Related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum 2 years Related work experience
- Experience in regulated environment
- Focus on Good Manufacturing Practice
- APIC and/or Lean Six Sigma Certified
- Anticipation mindset
- Scenario planning
- Experience in operations, supply chain, manufacturing environment
- Manage progress of nonexempt employees for one production line toward achievement of departmental goals
- Manage costs of projects, manpower, and material resources for one production line
- Performs this job in a quality system environment
- Understands and follows established work processes so as to optimize utilization of manpower and material resources within the assigned area or related departments
- Facilitates others' participation in the continuous improvement program
- Investigates and solves basic problems that impact work processes and personnel within a unit or department
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
