Job Summary
Develop and launch complex strategic initiatives for pharmaceutical extractable and leachable business lines, collaborating with global sites and countries to define growth strategies and facility expansion plans. Establish strategic objectives including margin benchmarks and profitability targets while performing technical assessments to improve staff competence. Act as a champion for organizational change, linking ideas across stakeholders to execute pioneering initiatives and support Global Key Account objectives. Recommend acquisition targets and develop necessary business processes to enable high-impact projects. This role requires 10+ years of technical experience in pharmaceutical packaging and biocompatibility, with a PhD in Analytical Chemistry. The position involves 15% travel and offers a salary range of $180,000-$190,000.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Analytical Chemistry with focus on mass spectrometry
- 10 years minimum technical experience including education in extractable and leachable industries
- Pharmaceutical packaging extractable and leachables
- Biocompatibility
- Chemical Characterization (including biodegradable)
- PERLs (Process equipment related leachables)
- Single use systems
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and influencing a matrix organization, operating and influencing effectively across the organization and within complex contexts
- Experience in working on novel projects and proven ability to bring ideas from conception to completion
- Experience in showing commercial sense, contract structuring and negotiation, and business strategy development
- Proven experience in helping other people turn their ideas into reality; work with multiple fluid team structures which requires trust and integrity
