Job Summary
Lead efforts to surface meaningful business intelligence insights by partnering with developers, researchers, and data analysts to solve challenging problems. Follow threads of information across teams and systems to connect disparate inputs into coherent insights and actionable recommendations. Work with technology teams on process design, workflow, and data management while liaising with research and trading teams on post-trade statistical analysis. Broadcast key insights globally to connect the company across regions and produce research that educates and influences exchange decision making on market structure and product availability. This full-time role in New York requires reliable availability and offers a salary range of $175,000—$200,000 USD.
Required Qualifications
- Relentless curiosity, an instinct to ask thoughtful questions, dig beneath the surface, and keep learning
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to link details across different data sources, processes, and departments to broader business impact
- Deep interest in and passion for trading and global markets
- Ability to communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences, translating in both directions
- Self-starter, scrappy, and creative, with good instincts and a nose for making money
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities
- Ability to quickly learn business concepts, internalize priorities, and network effectively with peers
- Engineering experience working with programming languages for automation tasks (Python, etc.)
- Practical understanding of database concepts and ETL pipelining
- Experience with data analysis, SQL, Linux
