Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to process data from diverse sources for reporting; develop robust data models within the BigQuery data warehouse using best practices (star schemas); write and productionize complex SQL and Python scripts for data transformation and validation; create and manage optimized data marts and summary tables to support BI analysts and visualization tools; collaborate with BI Analysts and business stakeholders to translate data requirements into technical specifications; monitor and optimize data pipeline performance and data warehouse health; implement data quality checks and governance to ensure data accuracy and trustworthiness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Expert-level SQL skills (advanced queries, stored procedures, window functions)
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with BigQuery or similar data warehouse
- Experience designing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
- Strong data modeling knowledge (dimensional modeling, star schemas)
- Ability to collaborate with BI Analysts and stakeholders
- Experience with modern data stack tools like dbt, Airflow, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory is a plus
