Job Summary
Join EvergreenHealth’s Analytics team as a Business Intelligence Developer specializing in Epic Cogito Caboodle and SQL-driven analytics. You’ll design, build, and optimize reports, dashboards, and data models using Epic tools (Cogito, Caboodle, Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer, Radar) and enterprise BI platforms, partner with clinical and business leaders to transform data into actionable insights, ensure data accuracy and reliability, and support patient care and operations through data-driven decision-making. Primary duties include configuring and testing Epic-released content, developing scalable data solutions (views, queries, dashboards), maintaining the Analytics Catalog, performing peer reviews, training end users on BI tools, and collaborating across teams to meet analytic goals.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Computer Science, Business Systems, Health Information Management, or other related field, or equivalent education/experience
- 4 years of related experience
- Epic certification in area of support or certification within 3 months of hire
- Advanced knowledge of relational database design and analysis
- Experience with SQL (or equivalent languages)
- Experience building and supporting BI solutions including ETL and data discovery
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI tools and dashboard development
- Ability to understand data structures beneficial to the data model
- Strong communication and ability to present solutions to multidisciplinary teams
- Attention to detail and collaborative problem solving in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to independently research and analyze to resolve complex issues
Desired Qualifications
- Certifications in Epic Cogito, Caboodle, Cogito Tools Admin highly desired, with verifiable build experience
- Epic Cogito, Caboodle, Cogito Tools Admin certifications
- Advanced SQL skills with experience in window functions, stored procedures, views, and queries for Clarity and Caboodle datasets
- Experience with Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer, Radar, Cogito SQL templates
- Experience with Epic workflows (Ambulatory, Acute, OpTime)
- Experience with data modeling and analytics lifecycle
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI (or similar)
- Azure DevOps experience (preferred)
- Experience with data governance and data lineage
- Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills
- Experience with predictive analytics/models related to Epic tools
