Job Summary
Meet with business leaders and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document reporting and dashboard requirements. Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau to support operational and strategic decision-making. Develop SQL queries, data models, and standardized reporting solutions that translate business needs into scalable analytics for performance monitoring. Validate data accuracy, troubleshoot reporting issues, and implement enhancements across SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle platforms. Support the evaluation of AI-enabled reporting and automation technologies where applicable. This fully on-site role at Lamons' Houston headquarters encourages recent graduates with relevant academic projects or internship experience to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field
- Experience developing reports, dashboards, or data visualization through academic projects, internships, or professional experience
- Experience working with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
- Working knowledge of SQL skills, including joins, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), window functions, stored procedures, and query optimization
- Proficiency in Tableau report and dashboard development
- Understanding of relational databases and data modeling concepts, including fact and dimension table design
- Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into technical reporting solutions
- Knowledge of business intelligence concepts, KPI development, and data visualization best practices
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to validate and ensure data accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting established deadlines
- Must be able to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through virtual meeting platforms
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
- This position is fully on-site at our Houston headquarters
Desired Qualifications
- Coursework or certification in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Data Visualization
- Exposure to Python programming, APIs, and emerging AI technologies
- Preferred: Experience gathering business requirements and delivering reporting solutions to business stakeholders
- Preferred: Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or operations – focused reporting environments
- Preferred: Experience with Python, AI-enabled analytics, Open AI, Azure AI, or similar technologies
