Job Summary
Partner with business teams to translate questions into analytical requirements, KPIs, and dashboards while maintaining a roadmap of BI deliverables. Design curated data marts in BigQuery and build reusable semantic layers, then create and maintain interactive reporting solutions in Tableau and MicroStrategy. Conduct descriptive and diagnostic analyses to provide actionable recommendations, define KPIs with QA checks, and monitor pipeline health and data freshness SLAs. Document dashboards, create data dictionaries, and host training sessions to empower self-service analytics across teams.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years in BI, analytics, or data roles
- Experience in a retail or data-rich environment
- Advanced SQL skills
- Hands-on experience with BigQuery or a similar cloud data warehouse (Snowflake/Redshift)
- Proven experience building BI dashboards in Tableau, MicroStrategy, or other modern BI tools
- Solid understanding of dimensional modeling (star/snowflake)
- Knowledge of metric definitions
- Knowledge of performance tuning
- Knowledge of data quality processes
- Knowledge of governance frameworks
- Knowledge of access management
- Ability to synthesize and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Desired Qualifications
- Python/R for analysis, automation, or data validation
- Familiarity with dbt/Dataform
- Familiarity with Fivetran (or similar ELT tools)
- Familiarity with Git/CI for BI content version control
- Basic statistics
- Experimentation design (A/B testing)
