Job Summary
The Business Information Security Officer (BISO) drives security risk management and action across assigned lines of business and supporting technologies, representing the CISO on business-line security matters and maintaining key stakeholder relationships up to the Management Committee. BISOs act as trusted security advisors, translating and prioritizing security requirements to support operations and strategic initiatives, elevating business-specific risks and insights back to Information Security. They lead reporting, governance, and performance targets across business lines, improve security program effectiveness, and mentor peers while collaborating with business risk teams, technology leaders, and control functions to drive measurable improvements in security posture. The role requires communicating clearly with executives and stakeholders, with strong analytical, decision-making, and interpersonal skills to influence outcomes across organizational boundaries.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Technology, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 6+ years of financial services industry experience
- 6+ years of information technology and/or information security experience
- 3+ years of people leadership or equivalent leadership influence
- 10 or more years of progressive experience in information security or related technology disciplines, with a demonstrated record of success in senior security roles
- Five or more years of people leadership experience
