Job Summary
Experienced business immigration attorney needed to lead, manage, and grow the firm’s business immigration practice. Primary duties include conducting initial consultations with prospective clients, owning and managing cases from inception to completion, advising on visas and compliance, developing business development initiatives, building and maintaining client relationships and referral sources, and collaborating with paralegals and staff to deliver exceptional service. The role offers flexibility in work style (fully remote, hybrid, or in-office in Richmond) and entails strategic growth responsibilities, potential leadership of the practice area, and a 30% origination fee on clients brought to the firm. Strong client-facing skills, legal research and writing abilities, and experience with employment-based visas are essential; fluency in Spanish and an existing book of business are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school
- Active admission to any U.S. state bar or the District of Columbia
- 3+ years of business immigration experience
- Strong client relationship management skills
- Demonstrated business development abilities and interest in growing a practice area
- Ability to independently manage cases and provide strategic legal counsel
