Business Immigration Attorney (Associate)

Job Summary
Represent clients in all aspects of business immigration law while maintaining high-level communication throughout the intake and filing processes. Oversee and manage a team of legal assistants, assigning and prioritizing case work to ensure accuracy during high-volume, rapid-turnover caseloads. Train staff on case preparation and establish quality standards across the office. Liaise with other attorneys to share information and guide clients through technical issues with questionnaires and document submissions. Participate in other office projects as assigned. This role reports to a Partner or Senior Associate and requires managing overlapping schedules with occasional regional travel.
Required Qualifications
- Typically at least 1+ year(s) as a practicing corporate immigration attorney
- J.D. degree
- Licensed to practice law in the U.S.
- Excellent English writing and oral communication skills
- Excellent organization and computer skills
- Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
- Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach daily
- Able to perform general office administrative activities: copying, filing, delivering and using the telephone
- Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Regular and on-time attendance
- Must be able to prioritize, schedule and complete testing required for multiple applications with overlapping schedules
- A certain degree of creativity and flexibility
- Hours may exceed 40 hours per week
- Occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required
