Business Group Controller – US/Canada

Job Summary
Lead the development, consolidation, and presentation of the US/Canada annual operating budget and periodic financial forecasts. Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes while overseeing general ledger activities and internal controls. Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting, analytics, and decision-support capabilities by partnering with operations leaders to deliver rigorous cost and profitability analyses. Support acquisition integration within US/Canada manufacturing operations and ensure strong audit readiness for internal and external audits. Direct and manage supervisory and non-supervisory employees across multiple locations, handling recruitment, performance evaluation, and professional development. Requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 7–10 years of finance experience, and 3–5 years in people leadership, with up to 20% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting
- 3–5 years of people leadership experience
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
Desired Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree
- IFRS exposure
- International business experience
- Manufacturing or operations finance experience
- CPA or CMA
- Advanced: ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred)
- Intermediate: PowerPoint, Microsoft Power BI
- Basic: Database tools
