Job Summary
Seeking a Senior Business Financial Analyst to support the U.S. Coast Guard SFLC, focusing on financial analytics, budget analysis, and project tracking for federal programs. Requires 7+ years experience and advanced Excel skills.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in federal financial or business analysis
- Hands-on experience with at least one of the following systems: FSMS, FLS, NESSS, or IBM Cognos
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Demonstrated experience in account reconciliations, commitments/obligations analysis, and fiscal closeout
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Direct experience with U.S. Coast Guard SFLC/LRE operations
- Familiarity with HM&E maintenance scheduling or asset availability processes
- Experience building Cognos reports
- Familiarity with Affordable Readiness Budget concepts, OE/PC&I funding, and IPP invoicing procedures
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Cognos Analytics
- Basic SQL proficiency
- Background in process improvement or audit readiness (Lean, Six Sigma certification preferred)
