Business Excellence Manager

Job Summary
The Business Excellence Manager will lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives in a manufacturing context based in Austin, TX. Responsibilities include acting as a change agent to deploy Lean Enterprise practices, eliminating waste, reducing variation, and driving continuous improvement across processes. You will apply Kaizen techniques, manage projects to reduce cycle times and costs, standardize work, train and coach Flex employees, suppliers, and customers, and co-guide Lean deployment across CIMT operations, supply chain, and office areas. The role requires facilitating lean transformation, conducting time studies and bottleneck analyses, and ensuring alignment with established policies and goals. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree (Industrial Engineering preferred), 5+ years of manufacturing experience, Six Sigma project experience, Kaizen events facilitation, and strong project-management and cross-functional leadership abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required (Industrial Engineering preferred)
- 5+ years of industry work experience in manufacturing (e.g., automotive, electronics, medical device)
- Continuous Improvement project management experience including facilitation and training
- Six Sigma Project experience (leading, training or facilitating)
- Kaizen events facilitation
- Ability to guide direct projects based on business initiatives and customer needs
- Experience in Finance, HR, Materials and Operations activities
- Strong facilitation and training skills
- Capability to assess and drive CIMT/operations improvements
- Knowledge of capacity models, time studies, and takt time
