Job Summary
The Business Engagement Liaison will plan and conduct outreach, education, and relationship management activities to engage employers in support of Goodwill SWPA’s Workforce Development goals. The role focuses on developing and maintaining strong relationships with employers to lead to job placements and work-based learning opportunities, identifying training and employment opportunities through knowledge of the local labor market, coordinating work-based learning sites, processing and maintaining worksite agreements and related documentation, and providing direct service and support to employers and Goodwill staff. The position requires collaboration across teams, travel to employer locations, and adherence to regulatory guidelines. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills are essential, as is proficiency with CRM systems, reporting, and data management.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma AND 4+ years of Experience supporting job seekers and employers in placement or workforce development
- Associates degree in Communications, Marketing, Business/Management, Social Work, Human Services, or other related field AND 2+ years of Experience supporting job seekers and employers in placement orworkforce development
- Bachelors degree in Communications, Marketing, Business/Management, Social Work, Human Services, or other related field AND 1+ years of Experience supporting job seekers and employers in placement or workforce development
- Experience supporting job seekers and employers in placement or workforce development
- Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with employers, partners, and stakeholders
- Skilled in employer engagement, business development, and labor market navigation
- Proficient with CRM systems, reporting, and data management
- Effective collaborator across teams to align employer and program goals
- Adept at assessing employer needs, resolving issues, and delivering solutions
- Strong public speaking, negotiation, and presentation skills
Additional Requirements
- Must have valid driver's license, active insurance policy, and reliable transportation for local travel
- Background checks including National Criminal Background check, Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH prior to first day of employment
