Business Education Teacher (Cert. 1300)

Teaches secondary students in business-related subjects (e.g., accounting, banking, insurance, business communications, economics, finance, entrepreneurship, marketing, office administration and systems technology) and other listed business disciplines. Develops and implements lesson plans aligned with NJ Student Learning Standards; employs a variety of instructional techniques and media; differentiates instruction to meet diverse learners; maintains a productive classroom environment; assesses student progress and maintains records; collaborates with faculty; communicates with parents about student progress; participates in curriculum development and professional duties as required; and ensures awareness of current business practices and entry requirements for employment.
