Manage the department's annual and capital budget, establish internal controls for cash management, and monitor financial performance to report results to stakeholders. Direct daily clinical operations, optimize patient flow patterns, and develop policies to improve cost and quality of care while resolving staffing and facility issues. Lead external funded projects by developing grant proposal procedures, ensuring compliance with NIH guidelines, and managing revenue and expense information with principal investigators. Oversee divisional staffing strategies, including hiring and workforce planning, and partner with faculty affairs to maintain program accreditation and support physician development.
