Job Summary

Proactively increase sales in funded vendor and partner practice areas by working directly with Account Managers and sales management to penetrate accounts and grow market share. Identify sales opportunities through book of business reviews, develop focus accounts, and partner with sales teams to engage in customer calls for deal closure. Manage open pipeline, review deal registrations, and drive vendor promotions while collaborating on business development communications. Strategize with management on tactics for growing the business segment and frequently dialogue on plan progress. Maintain and increase knowledge of specific technology practice areas by attending trainings, achieving certifications, and assisting in technical training creation. Ensure departmental processes comply with applicable Sarbanes-Oxley controls.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in business development
  • Knowledge of technology in respective practice area
  • Ability to keep abreast of changes in technology
  • Ability to maintain or achieve certifications for professional development
  • Ability to attend applicable industry and manufacturer training
  • Ability to achieve vendor certifications through online or onsite training
  • Ability to assist in the creation and presentation of technical training
  • Ability to coach Account Managers on practice area technologies
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to refer exceptional problems and issues for management review or approval
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley controls
  • Ability to work directly with Account Managers and sales management team
  • Ability to identify sales opportunities in the practice area through book of business reviews
  • Ability to develop focus accounts in practice area
  • Ability to partner with sales and engage in customer calls to help identify, develop and close
  • Ability to collaborate with vendor or partners inside and/or field team
  • Ability to engage on and review deal registrations
  • Ability to manage open pipeline
  • Ability to drive vendor or partner promotions and programs with the sales teams
  • Ability to collaborate on business development and communications with the sales teams
  • Ability to strategize with sales management on tactics for success related to growing the related business segment and practice area
  • Ability to dialogue with Account Managers and the sales management team on plan progress and strategies for tactics to be successful
