Job Summary
Develop and implement programs to support the financial sustainability of early care and education providers in Iowa. Deliver business and financial planning, consultation, and training to childcare businesses, assisting start-ups and those facing financial crisis. Analyze financial data, manage budgets, and facilitate community engagement activities to promote FCF's core services. Connect with diverse stakeholders, partners, and constituents to ensure program effectiveness. This remote role requires occasional regional travel and involves working with minimum supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of four years' experience in financial management, planning, and/or training
- Successful experience in consulting, training, lending, and/or financial analysis
- Experience working with small businesses or experience owning/operating in a small business
- A strategic thinker and planner as well as an effective implementer
- Energetic, enthusiastic, with a can-do attitude
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Familiar with state childcare licensing regulations
- Must be able to work on the computer for extended periods of time
- Ability to travel when needed
Desired Qualifications
- Direct experience with childcare
- Experience in resource development and/or fundraising
- Experience in private sector engagement and partnership
- Public speaking experience
