Job Summary
Senior Business Development Specialist at Freshfields’ Marketing & Business Development team, focused on the US corporate practice. Drive US and global BD strategy, craft pitches and campaigns, develop content and credentials, oversee directory submissions and awards, support key client relationships, and collaborate across practices worldwide. Responsibilities include proposing and managing campaigns and events, maintaining collateral materials and experience lists, mentoring junior colleagues, and coordinating with internal/external stakeholders. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 4+ years in a professional services environment with corporate-restructuring/finance exposure preferred, strong emotional intelligence and collaboration, excellent communication and project-management capabilities, and proficiency with MS Office and BD systems (Salesforce, Sharepoint; knowledge of Pitchbook, Mergermarket, Refinitiv, CapitalIQ, Preqin is a plus). Location-based posts in San Francisco and Silicon Valley, US; fully in-person work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 4+ years’ experience working for a professional services firm with a focus on corporate - restructuring and/or finance is preferred
- Strong emotional intelligence, independent thinking and execution, and sound judgment
- Excellent collaboration skills and relationship-building
- Attention to detail
- Experience managing multiple US and global stakeholders
- Multi-tasking and project management skills
- Excellent written, presentation and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite; Salesforce and Sharepoint preferred; experience with Pitchbook, Mergermarket, Refinitiv, CapitalIQ, Preqin a plus
