Job Summary

Business Development Reservoir Engineering Technician to join INEOS Energy’s Corporate Development team. You will rapidly aggregate, scrub, and model large datasets from external data rooms and public repositories to identify commercial opportunities and support underwriting for asset acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures. Primary duties include building and maintaining master databases (ComboCurve, ARIES, PHDwin), integrating well headers, production histories, ownership records, GIS data, and external VDR materials; standardizing data, creating dynamic dashboards in TIBCO Spotfire, and applying AI/process automation to enhance workflow efficiency. Collaboration with reservoir engineering, geoscience, finance, operations, IT, and GIS is required to align data and technology solutions with business objectives. Strong experience with SQL, ArcGIS/QGis, and knowledge of upstream oil & gas terminology and transaction lifecycle are essential. The role offers a Colorado-based salary range of $100,000–$150,000 with discretionary bonus potential up to 40% and comprehensive benefits; relocation support is preferential for candidates in the Denver metro area. This position requires ability to work in-office in Denver, CO, with no mandatory travel to field locations. Safety, confidentiality, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion are emphasized.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, data science, data analytics, or a related field
  • 5-10 years in reservoir technician experience in an E&P environment
  • 1–2 years specifically dedicated to Corporate Development, M&A, or A&D workflows
  • Proven experience with ComboCurve, ARIES, and PHDwin
  • SQL for report generation, data extraction, and database management
  • Expert-level TIBCO Spotfire dashboard design
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (Power Query, VBA) and Microsoft Access
  • Strong understanding of upstream oil and gas terminology and the transaction lifecycle
  • Travel & Additional Requirements: Travel not required to INEOS field locations
  • Relocation: Preferential treatment for Denver metropolitan area
