Job Summary
The Business Development Representative (BDR) develops and executes a sales strategy within an assigned territory to grow revenue across pool builders, service providers, and retailers. Responsibilities include prospecting and lead generation through cold calling, networking, referrals, and online research; building and maintaining customer relationships; delivering sales presentations and product demonstrations; negotiating terms and closing sales; coordinating with marketing initiatives; attending industry events; maintaining CRM records; staying informed on market trends; and achieving individual and broader regional goals. Qualifications emphasize 2+ years of B2B sales experience, ability to cold call, CRM proficiency, and knowledge of relevant pool/distribution products. The role requires travel within the designated territory and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years’ experience in professional-level business-to-business sales
- Proven track record of successful sales in a wholesale distribution environment
- Ability to cold call on prospective clients
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build trust and long-term relationships
- Knowledge of pool-related equipment, plumbing supplies, tile, decking, exterior lighting, patio furniture, construction materials, building supplies, chemicals, landscaping/irrigation supplies, HVAC supplies or similar
