Job Summary
Business Development Representative focused on securing and nurturing Select Employer Group Partners (SEGs) for Pelican Credit Union. Responsibilities include visiting prospective members and SEG partners, presenting financial services (deposit accounts, lines of credit, cash management, electronic banking, lending products, investments), managing current and prospective SEG relationships, coordinating events and campaigns, researching demographics to develop target contact lists, and reporting on interactions. Requires strong public speaking, ability to work independently and in a team, excellent communication skills, and frequent travel to SEG partner locations; full-time role based in Baton Rouge, LA with home office at the corporate campus.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of experience with client relationships/management and business development
- 2-year college degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, or a related field of study
- Prior experience in a financial institution is a plus
- Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills
- Strong public speaking and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

- Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; some weekends
