Job Summary
Develop and implement strategic business development/marketing plans to increase census by retaining existing referrals, developing new referral sources, and promoting the organization’s services within the Metro DC area. Build, advance, and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, mental health providers, insurance providers, community groups, and other stakeholders; coordinate tours for key referral sources; collaborate with admissions to ensure timely response to referrals; analyze data to drive sales growth; travel within the assigned territory as needed and work with a flexible schedule (nights and weekends) to meet goals. Requires understanding of substance abuse treatment programs and admission criteria, strong communication and presentation skills, ability to work independently and remotely with team members, and ability to engage diverse populations. Must have substance abuse experience and be capable of developing marketing strategies, maintaining professional relationships, and meeting sales targets.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from approved university in Marketing/Public Relations, Social Work or related preferred
- Two years direct experience in healthcare marketing preferred
- Must possess a state driver’s license with no restrictions and meets all requirements of facility vehicle policy
- Must be able to work with male/female, adult (18-over) and adolescent substance abuse/dually diagnosed/opiate dependent population
- Previous healthcare marketing experience with a track record of growth is required
