Job Summary

Establish and maintain strong in-person relationships with key influencers, government officials, and referral sources within an assigned territory to drive end-user adoption of alcohol monitoring and ignition interlock products. Generate new sales through proactive outreach, structured territory planning, and relationship cultivation while expanding product market share by identifying new referral sources. Provide technical expertise and consultative support to partners by educating them on product functionality, reporting platforms, and compliance features. Attend trade shows, industry conferences, and state-level meetings to develop and execute competitive sales strategies tailored to local market dynamics. Maintain proficiency in Smart Start products, CRM systems, and monitoring platforms while gathering market intelligence to sustain competitive advantage. This field-based role involves approximately 80% time in the field, including 40% overnight travel for conferences and industry events.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales or business development
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to demonstrate and utilize breath alcohol testing devices on a continual basis
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree
  • Above-average computer proficiency
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • CRM and proprietary software system experience
  • Approximately 80% of time spent in the field developing and managing influencer relationships
  • Overnight travel, including occasional weekend travel for conferences and industry events
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
