Job Summary
Establish and maintain strong in-person relationships with key influencers, government officials, and referral sources within your assigned territory. Generate new sales through proactive outreach, structured territory planning, and relationship cultivation to expand product market share. Provide technical expertise and consultative support to partners by educating them on product functionality, reporting platforms, and compliance features. Attend trade shows, industry conferences, and state-level meetings to develop competitive sales strategies and gather market intelligence. Maintain proficiency in Smart Start products, CRM systems, and monitoring platforms while serving as a territory expert on state regulations and impaired driving laws. This field-based role involves approximately 80% time in the field with 40% overnight travel for conferences.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales or business development
- Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Ability to demonstrate and utilize breath alcohol testing devices on a continual basis
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Associate or Bachelor's degree
- Above-average computer proficiency
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- CRM and proprietary software system experience
- Industry knowledge related to alcohol monitoring and ignition interlock programs
