Job Summary
Founding BDR role to build Basis' outbound motion from the ground up. Collaborate with the Director of Business Development and the founding Account Executive team to identify right accounts, craft messaging, and develop a repeatable playbook. Build the outbound playbook, test channels and approaches, and systematize successful methods for the team that follows. Define messaging that resonates with in-house accounting and finance teams to secure meetings with controllers, CFOs, and finance leaders. Prioritize accounts, develop targeting logic, and convert outreach into consistent meetings. Capture feedback on objections, competitors, and pain points to shape positioning, selling, and product direction. Own infrastructure, tooling, tracking, and reporting to measure what's working. Ideal candidate is autonomous, principled, coachable, creative, and a natural leader with strong communication skills and a willingness to go beyond a 9-5 schedule in a high-velocity startup environment.
