Job Summary
The Business Development Representative, Portfolio Acquisition Executive, Fires, drives revenue growth by identifying and qualifying new DoD/federal opportunities and capturing contracts. Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with government program and military stakeholders, developing requirements with customers for bids, managing a weekly sales pipeline, and contributing to proposals and quotations. Travels to client locations, conferences, tradeshows, and exhibitions to cultivate opportunities; collaborates on market strategy, internal processes, and cross-functional teams to expand the company’s footprint within the PA&E AS&A community. Requires knowledge of DoD programs, procurement and contracting processes, and the ability to work with senior government and military leaders; requires strong communication, forecasting, and vendor/customer relationship skills. Bachelor's degree required; 5-10 years defense sales experience preferred; security clearance may be required; travel and valid driver's license may be necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related technical field (required)
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in defense sales and business development with a successful track record of winning DoD contracts
- Demonstrated experience with DoD’s procurement and contracting processes
- Ability to obtain security clearance, if required
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to carry out negotiations and manage customer needs within procedures
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Experience with Government Sales and Federal Contracting
