Business Development Rep - Recruiter

Job Summary

Make consistent outbound calls to prospective clients to introduce payroll, HR, benefits, and workforce solutions. Identify businesses needing changes in payroll providers, HR functions, or benefits administration through telephone prospecting, email outreach, LinkedIn, and networking. Generate qualified appointments and new client opportunities by researching companies, developing targeted lists, and following up consistently throughout the sales cycle. Build relationships with business owners, executives, and HR leaders while establishing referral networks with CPAs, brokers, and financial advisors. Maintain accurate CRM records, track renewal dates, and meet established activity and revenue goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong interest in business development, sales, recruiting, or relationship-building
  • Comfortable making outbound calls and initiating conversations with people who are not expecting the call
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional presence when communicating with executives and business owners
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage daily prospecting activities
  • Competitive and goal-oriented mindset
  • Persistent and resilient when dealing with rejection or long sales cycles
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to develop relationships rather than relying solely on transactional selling
  • Comfortable working within a CRM and maintaining accurate prospect records
  • Ability to learn Payroll, HR, Benefits, and employment-related solutions
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for networking events and prospect meetings

Desired Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in business development, B2B sales, recruiting, staffing, account management, or outbound prospecting
  • Previous experience in Payroll, HR, HRIS, Benefits, PEO, Staffing, Insurance, Recruiting, or Professional Services
  • Existing relationships within the Dallas–Fort Worth business community
  • Experience prospecting business owners, HR leaders, CFOs, controllers, or executive-level decision-makers
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field
  • equivalent professional experience
