Job Summary

Lead business development for corporate banking in Aberdeen, focused on winning new clients across the North East of Scotland. You will originate and convert new client opportunities, manage high-level relationships with CFOs and senior stakeholders, collaborate with product specialists and relationship teams to deliver practical banking solutions, and build a clear pipeline of opportunities across sectors such as energy transition, infrastructure, manufacturing and food & drink. You will spend time in the market meeting business owners and advisers, represent Barclays in the regional business community, and ensure activity aligns with risk and control expectations. The role emphasizes leadership, strategy, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and driving revenue growth.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in Corporate Banking with mid or large corporate clients
  • Ability to build and manage a focused pipeline within a regional market
  • Confidence engaging with CFOs, business owners and senior stakeholders
  • Knowledge of regional sectors such as energy, infrastructure, manufacturing or food & drink
  • Familiarity with corporate banking products including lending, liquidity and risk solutions
  • Experience collaborating with product specialists, relationship teams and risk/compliance controls
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with senior management and advisers
